2 Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938
сокр FLSAУстановил минимальную заработную плату 25 центов в час (с перспективой повышения ее до 40 центов в течение последующих 8 лет) и максимальную продолжительность рабочей недели 44 часа для рабочих, занятых в торговле между штатами [ interstate commerce] и на предприятиях, связанных с ней (в дальнейшем предусматривался постепенный переход на 40-часовую рабочую неделю); обязывал предприятия отдельно оплачивать сверхурочную работу. Запретил использование труда детей, не достигших 16-летнего возраста. Действие закона коснулось более 60 млн. рабочих и служащих.
